3PL revamps linemarking
08 February 2022
A SPECIALIST 3PL appointed Inotec to undertake a major linemarking project at its 180,000 sq ft Birmingham based warehouse at Midpoint Way, Minworth.

The project was completed in December 2021. RFID, barcode labels and floor marking specialist Inotec was chosen to deliver the project following the completion of another successful line marking project for the 3PL logistics company earlier in the year.
Undertaken in one of the company’s extremely busy warehouse and distribution centres the two-week project comprised of the installation of over 2,000 linear metres of floor marking. For minimal operational disruption, the Inotec team worked continuously on weekdays and over two weekends to complete the project as quickly as possible. This installation included the marking of forklift truck route lanes, pallet bays and door safety areas. The project was delivered within the required timescales and completed on budget.
Explaining the partnership, the customer’s spokesperson said: “Our previous experience of working with Inotec had been first class. This gave us confidence that they were the right company to complete the line marking for our latest project at Minworth. The job was completed by Inotec on time and within the budget, and yet again their excellent service and attention to detail helped deliver the quality solution we were looking for.”
To prevent operational downtime the project had to be completed quickly and systematically. To mark the lines, Inotec used its highly durable ‘Rapidshield’ line marking system which cures within a very short period and has no odour. The system uses a water-based acrylic paint applied to a shot blast prepared floor; this system delivers a drying time of under two hours. An ultraviolet clear topcoat is then cured onto the paint which gives high wear characteristics and allows the base paint to remain bright and visible for longer than traditional paint solutions.
Inotec has developed a name and reputation for high quality floor marking installations, all backed by the performance and customer service expected from a market leading company.
Inotec director David Stocker, said: “We were delighted to receive a repeat order from this customer. It has been a great project to work on for the team. An installation plan and delivery schedule were created to ensure there was as little disruption as possible, this resulted in a first-class installation that met all of the client’s expectations.”
