Reduces body weights
Leading supplier of bespoke sandwich panels, Panel Systems, has reported a huge increase in demand for Thermhex polypropylene honeycomb material from the commercial vehicle sector due to its benefits in reducing vehicle body weights.
With a weight saving of up to 85% on a like-for-like thickness of plywood, the innovative new material is available as a standard sheet size of 2500 x 1250mm, or it can be cut to bespoke sizes up to a maximum of 6000mm x 1400mm. It is also available in a range of different core densities to suit specific project requirements, with core thicknesses from 3.5mm to 30mm.
