Deputy PM visits Hughes
During a visit to Hughes Safety Showers Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, discussed issues of particular interest to the company with deputy managing director, Peter Evans, and other board members including doing business within Europe, the role of British exporters globally and the value of modern apprenticeships.
The Deputy Prime Minister was joined by local MP Sir Andrew Stunell and Lisa Smart who will contest the Hazel Grove Parliamentary seat in next year’s General Election when Sir Andrew retires.
Clegg was particularly interested to hear about Hughes’ involvement in Europe and welcomed the assistance given by the local Business Innovation and Skills team in support of the company’s drive to boost exports.
