Certification shows manufacturing quality

Heavy-load storage solutions company, AR Racking is now certified to EN-1090, a mandatory standard for steel structure manufacturers within the European Community as per Regulation No 305/2011 of the European Parliament, underlining the manufacturing quality of its rack-clad industrial steel systems.

For rack-clad buildings, the rack is part of the building structure, bearing much higher load than a conventional warehouse. The load of the stored goods adds up to the load of the outer walls and external factors such as wind and snow. Most of these warehouses use automated systems and robots for handling goods.

In order to gain EN-1090 certification, AR Racking has completely satisfied the stringent requirements of the standard regarding materials, welding, cutting, forming and surface treatments. As part of the certification process, tests were carried out for all affected processes, including inspections of the welding process. The company has also obtained ISO-3834 certification, involving the implementation of a quality system in the welding process, both in-house and for contracting companies.
