Forklift training

As businesses gear up for Christmas, temporary or casual workers are often employed. According to Carrylift Group, research has shown that the average employee is up to four times as likely to cause or be involved in an accident during their first month’s employment and that each percentage point increase of new staff heightens the company’s risk of major injuries by 1.7-2.5%.

Operating a forklift truck can be extremely dangerous without the correct training and this is particularly important with casual staff. Carrylift Group offers a full complement of forklift training courses are accredited according to Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.

From beginner to advanced and encompassing all levels in between, the range of courses also includes Safety Awareness – aimed at managers and supervisors, this course highlights the fact that around two thirds of forklift truck accidents involve the injury of a pedestrian and how this number can easily be dramatically reduced.
