Dimensionally stable

Concerns over risks to public health and the environment, more stringent regulation of imported timber and a nationwide pallet shortage are issues facing many pallet users. Although remanufactured wood pallets are considered to be a cheaper alternative, Transpal advises users to consider plastic pallets.

Plastic pallets are made to consistent dimensions and remain dimensionally stable, making them suited to automated pallet stacking and handling systems.

They also have environmental benefits as they can not only bemade from recycled materials, but can also be readily and cost-effectively be recycled at the end of their life. Plastic pallets can also be stored outside without degrading and do not become heavier when wet.
