Hires due to ‘growing enthusiasm for automation’

Jungheinrich UK has added three senior personnel to its Systems & Projects Division team.

Tony Eckley has taken up the role of Project Manager, while Mark Ogden has joined as very narrow aisle systems Product Manager (Northern Region) and Tony Crowe has become Product Manager for racking and storage systems (Western Region).

All three have extensive knowledge of the markets they will serve and have spent their careers operating within intralogistics.

They join Jungheinrich at a time when demand for the type of products and services offered by Jungheinrich’s Systems and Projects Division is growing rapidly.

Steve Richmond (pictured), director of Jungheinrich UK’s Systems & Projects Division, commented: “More businesses now recognise the advantages that modern automated handling technology can offer and there is significant growth in the number of small and medium sized automated projects being undertaken.

“The growing enthusiasm for automation is, in part, being driven by a shift in the size and scope of modern systems which allow partial automation – flexible hybrid systems that are part-automated and part-manual – to be employed.”

He added: “These latest additions to our team will ensure that we continue to offer our clients the highest levels of support and we are delighted to welcome Tony, Mark and Tony to Jungheinrich.”
