Delivery giant UPS plans London Gateway hub
The company has submitted plans to build a distribution centre on the port’s logistics park.
Official planning documents show the proposal is being named as the UPS London Hub Parcel Distribution Facility, reports the Thurrock Gazette.
The plans include a warehouse, office, vehicle servicing facilities, roads to access the site and storm water ponds. The whole site UPS plan to take over is 188,000 square metres.
Last month London Gateway officially launched its Logistics Centre providing third party options to end users wishing to use the port.
Last year Marks and Spencer pulled out of a £200 million deal to build a distribution centre at London Gateway.
