3PL unveils embroidery as value added service
Core Management Logistics (CML) is on the hunt for clients to take advantage of its new embroidery service.
Based at Magna Park in Lutterworth, the company has seen increasing demand for its new in-house service since it was established to support its client PlayerLayer. The service offers bespoke logo embroidery and heat sealing.
PlayerLayer manufactures premium and personalised technical sports apparel for schools, universities and sports teams. The expanding department boasts two high-spec embroidery machines which are capable of 800 to 1,000 stitches per minute. As a result CML can handle anything from the very simple to the most complicated garment embroidery designs. The department, which has seen a total investment approaching £100,000, also benefits from a number of heat sealing machines which are able to transfer virtually any designs onto fabric.
Morgan Hay, Finance and Operations Director at PlayerLayer, commented: “Thanks to the launch of CML’s new department, PlayerLayer now has a single source for our personalisation and warehousing requirements. This has enabled our brand to deliver truly unique products whilst increasing our operational flexibility and reducing lead-times.”
The embroidery department can also be run in partnership with CML’s e-commerce department, which ensures a quicker more streamlined and simpler service for customers with everything carried out under one roof.
CML manages e-commerce requirements for approximately 50 per cent of its clients which include many popular retailers such as L.K.Bennett, MiH Jeans, fashion designer Markus Lupfer and new British womenswear brand Finery London, providing a tailored 24-hour fulfilment service to them.
