Dematic, the automated intralogistics solutions company, has appointed Matt Hatson as Business Solutions Sales Director for the UK, Ireland, Northern Europe and Scandinavia.

“Dematic is a highly innovative and dynamic force in the global automated warehouse systems market and I am pleased to have this opportunity to prove the value that our creative and intelligent solutions can bring to those businesses looking for high performance supply chains,” says Matt Hatson.

After graduating from Leicester University with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1992, Hatson joined GEC Alsthom. He gained experience in nuclear materials handling and baggage handling systems during the time he spent serving in a number of roles at GEC before moving on to Babcock’s Marine Division in 2004.

While at Babcock he was instrumental in winning the contract to design and install the automated storage systems that are at the heart of the Royal Navy’s two new Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers.

Stuart Stables, Managing Director, Dematic Northern Europe, says, “The role of Business Solutions Sales Director requires an ability to quickly understand a client’s business, build relationships, identify challenges and business pain points, and turn complex problems into seemingly simple solutions. With Matt’s extensive experience in high profile, cutting-edge engineering projects, I have every confidence that he will deliver the innovative solutions our customers are looking for. I’m delighted to welcome Matt to our management team.”
