Half century
International strapping specialist Mosca is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
The company, which has a UK subsidiary, Mosca Direct based in Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire, was founded by Gerd Mosca in Hilden, near Düsseldorf, Germany in 1966. Today, Mosca has 16 offices and production facilities worldwide and employs around 850 people, with annual revenues of approximately €140 million.
Mosca delivered its 100,000th machine in 2011. The company’s models range from compact universal strappers for a wide variety of applications to fully-automated high-performance machines that can be integrated into most production lines. Key industries served include corrugated board, building materials, newspapers, food, logistics and mail order. High quality strap is produced in polypropylene, PET and PLA.
