SEC Storage promotes Gary Kirk to project sales director
Gary started working in the industry in 1988 as a storage systems installer, before progressing to lead installer and then moving into a territory sales role for a UK manufacturer 10 years later.
Gary joined SEC Storage in June 2000 as a territory salesman, before being promoted to Storage Sales Manager in February 2003.
“I am very pleased to say that Gary Kirk has been made a Director of SEC Storage taking the role of Project Sales Director," says Steve Watts, managing director.
"Gary has been with SEC Storage for over 15 years and is a truly valued member of the SEC Group team with extensive experience in the design of multi-faceted storage systems. As Project Sales Director, he'll be responsible for managing the development and design of major, turnkey projects, to further boost our award winning approach and solutions."
This new role will focus on developing opportunities and working with clients on projects which entail large scale installations or complexity. This could be include carpet racking installations or multi-tier picking systems including conveyors, lighting and fire detection or prevention.
Gary has been responsible for devising some of SEC Storage's most prestigious storage system projects, including those for Domino's Pizza, Rolls-Royce, Maritime Transport and Karndean Designflooring.
“The systematic analysis and approach offered by SEC Storage has enabled us to make a tangible operational difference to a number of clients,” says Gary Kirk.
“Achieving such operational efficiencies requires a great amount of detail at the warehouse appraisal stage. By taking on this new focused role, I'll be able to truly immerse myself in a client’s operation on a consultative basis, all of course using the company's traditional speculative approach."
SEC Storage is exhibiting at the forthcoming IMHX event in September on the UKWA Pavilion (Stand UK6).
