Customer service award winner

Voiteq, global provider of voice-directed work solutions, has won the 2016 Customer Service Award at the national UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association) annual awards ceremony.

The Blackpool-based company was presented with the award at the Dorchester hotel in London, by special guest Nick Hewer (The Apprentice) for demonstrating an in-depth understanding of customer needs and delivering a consistent customer focused culture within the organisation.

Now in its 17th year, the prestigious UKWA Awards recognise industry excellence and the extraordinary achievement of individuals and companies operating in the logistics industry. They also emphasise the importance of the logistics sector’s contribution to the global and UK economy.

Isabel McCabe, managing director of Voiteq UK, said: “We are thrilled to be awarded the customer service award at this year’s UKWA Awards. As a growing global company, Voiteq strives to be immensely flexible and adaptable to customer needs; offering an exceptional 24-hour commitment to our customers to ensure issues are resolved swiftly. We adopt a proactive approach, can do attitude and exemplary work ethic, with positive feedback from customers reflecting our excellent service.”

Replacing the need for paper or screen, Voiteq voice guides the warehouse associate through their task using spoken commands. Wearing a light-weight headset and belt-worn computer, the associate confirms completion of the task. Using a voice-template for each user (trained voice-recognition), the system turns the spoken command back into data for the host-system to process and vice versa; a process known as text-to-speech.
