Cracking could lead to structural failure

Factory or warehouse floors are subjected to massive load pressures. Such loads, through the effect of gravity, force the floors of industrial premises to sink, this leads to many problems for operational continuity.

The building may show signs of cracking which could lead to structural failure; the floor may become uneven so the racking starts to lean which affects the use of heavy vehicles and there are the safety implications for employees.

The good news is factory or warehouse floors, walls and machinery bases can be stabilised and re-levelled quickly, economically and with minimal disruption using URETEKS’s expanding geopolymers.

Client operations can continue during the repair as one area at a time is treated and with a 24 hour program of work, there is no need to move stock, racking or machinery. Trip hazards are eliminated, enabling forklifts to run safely, and machines can operate immediately following the ground treatment.

URETEK processes involve no excavation. Voids are filled, and the processes rectify ponding and slab movement. Heavy machine bases are best treated after installation, maximising the compaction by downward pressure.

KEY BENEFITS OF URETEK REMEDIATION INCLUDE

  • Slab deterioration is arrested by filling underlying voids.
  • Slab movement at joints ("pumping") is eliminated.
  • Less stress to vehicles, as they can ride smoothly on yards and forecourts.
  • Forklifts can operate safely as shelving is re-levelled.
  • Accidents avoided.

URETEK SLAB LIFTING PROCESS

URETEK Slab Lifting is suitable for all types of ground bearing slabs including non-reinforced slabs.

A series of small holes are drilled through the slab into the underlying soil. Geopolymer is then injected directly under the slab. The expanding geopolymer then lifts the slab to the required level. To ensure precise results we monitor the lifting process with laser measurements. Slab lifting with geopolymer is fast and non-disruptive.
