Interactive robotics workshop proves hit

THE EVENT included presentations on ABB's product portfolio and collaboration with RMGroup, as well as demos of robotic palletising and AMR kit. 

SICK UK presented on its sensor solutions, and there was a panel discussion on topics such as robot capability and implementation, collaborative robotic systems, and the future of robotics. 

Attendees had the opportunity to view live demonstrations of industrial and mobile robots, including palletising, pick and place, and material handling and storage operations.

Attendee Paul Bavin, operations director from Burts Snacks, said: “It was really good to be able to view what is available for future projects relevant to our application. With the issues with skilled labour shortages across the industry, together with the need to maintain an ROI, the more automation you can do the better.”
