Boom allows safe and secure roll handling
Contact Attachments, based in Mid Wales, has supplied its high-demand Forklift Boom attachment to a national landscaping materials provider, to streamline its daily manual handling duties.
Kebur Garden Materials called upon Contact Attachments to design and manufacture its specialist Forklift Boom to safely and securely fit onto its existing forklift truck, and to help the team with the handling of its large rolls of artificial grass while reducing the risk of causing accidental damage during transportation around the site.
With the fork-mounted boom chosen by Kebur for easy attachment and detachment, it fits to the existing forklift forks and provides a sturdy solution for handling long, and varying weights of grass rolls.
Cliff Mosey, business partner at Kebur Garden Materials, explained: “Before the purchase of our low profile boom attachment, we were using our standard forklift forks to handle the rolls, which left impressions on the final product. We looked for a cost-effective solution to prevent this from happening as well as to streamline our team’s processes – and the boom is doing exactly that.
