Getting serious about grime
Food industry supplier Granta Processors installed the CleanTrax ProfilGate system from Unisan at their site in Cambridge.
The scrubbing zones are used for cleaning foreign bodies off tyres and footwear. They captured over 4KG in one week and this can be a lot higher during periods of heavy rain.
Granta director, Geoffrey Morrish says: “In the course of refurbishing our Whittlesford premises we resurfaced the original concrete floor with an epoxy resin concrete screed. To help maintain this hygienic, high quality, floor we also invested in the CleanTrax ProfilGate system from Unisan.
“This was installed on the main entrance where fork lift trucks were constantly entering the warehouse from the outside. It has proved very successful in helping to keep the warehouse floor clean.
“Cutting down the transfer of debris from the yard is a tremendous help in maintaining warehouse hygiene which is paramount in today’s food production operations. We are providing services to the top food importers and retail outlets in the UK and they demand the highest standards from us.
