Hat trick for Storax and Troax at SDG Awards
For the third consecutive year, both Storax and Troax were selected as suppliers of choice at the SEMA Distributor Group (SDG) Supplier of the Year awards 2017.
Storax retained the top honours, with Troax named as runner up.
Quality of service is vital for SEMA Distributors as they are audited every three years as part of their membership of the group and customer feedback is a key measure of their individual review.
Congratulating both businesses, SDG chairman Jonathan Bennett said: “For Storax and Troax to win hands down three years in a row is a true reflection of the first-class service that they offer to SEMA Distributor Companies (SDCs). Thanks also go to all our manufacturers.
“Consistency and reliability of service are critical to the success our individual businesses. Our members are also judged on their merits and positive customer feedback is part of our SDGs members’ compulsory triennial audit, the results of which are to be announced shortly. Without you, we cannot succeed.
“We are noticing that the SEMA Distributor Company logo is appearing on more tender lists as the market adopts a more discerning approach. Our message to end issuers is to ask to see a current SDC Audit Certificate as proof that the correct health and safety standards are in place, they use only trained labour, storage is correctly designed and the firm carries appropriate insurance.”
The awards were made at SEMA’s third Combined General Meeting held at the Best Western Manor Hotel, Meriden Coventry. Chaired by SEMA President Jaap Vos, the meeting brought together all SEMA member groups to learn and share best practice.
