Impact continues investment with Macbrown acquisition
Impact Handling has strengthened its presence across Leeds, Wakefield and West Yorkshire with the acquisition of local fork lift specialist Macbrown Fork Truck Services just prior to the sad passing of David Macmillan, founder, owner and MD of the business.
With the addition of Macbrown, Impact now operates thirteen branch locations across the UK and Ireland, alongside its seven dedicated dealer sites, supported by a workforce of over 200 mobile technicians who maintain more than 10,000 customer machines.
Terry Kendrew, Managing Director at Impact Handling, says “Macbrown is a long established family business with significant industry expertise that has built an enviable reputation for delivering exceptional customer care”. He continues, “As part of Impact, Macbrown will have the full support of our nationwide capability and will enable us to deliver better value than ever to our customers with operations in the region”.
Lynne Macmillan, co-founder of Macbrown comments, “Having worked with Impact for many years and knowing how they share our belief in putting the customer first, I am delighted that they will continue David’s legacy and take the service and support our local customers receive to new heights”.
Macbrown’s well equipped and purpose-built facility is situated just outside of Wakefield, close to key arterial road networks, making it ideally located to deliver rapid response throughout the area. The site will continue as an Impact branch location with Macbrown’s existing long-serving and highly experienced team remaining with the business to provide full sales, maintenance, repair, training and short term rental services.
