Fresh solution for fruit and veg firm
Union Industries has installed a Bulldoor to maintain high standards of hygiene at P J Stirling.
P J Stirling is a fruit and vegetable producer based in Arbroath, Scotland, and supplies its products to some of the UK’s largest food retailers including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Tesco and Asda.
The company decided to invest in Union Industries’ best-selling, fast action Bulldoor to replace its previous door from an alternative supplier, the performance of which had been impacted by several years of wear and tear.
As handlers and producers of food products, hygiene and pest control were some of the top priorities considered by P J Stirling when ordering the new door. As Union Industries’ Bulldoor is fitted externally at the entrance to its Intake Area where there is a regular flow of site traffic, the door’s high operating speed, as well as the attention to detail in the bespoke sealing undertaken by Union Industries, makes it an effective solution for minimising pest ingress to the building.
Union Industries’ Bulldoor is often regarded as the ‘reliable workhorse’ of rapid roll doors and has been known to perform more than 1.4million cycles per year, making it a popular choice for many different industries, including Warehouse & Distribution, Food Production, Aerospace and Pharmaceuticals.
The Bulldoor features ‘Crash-Out’ and ‘Auto-Reset’ damage protection facility and offers control outputs for options such as airlocks, traffic control systems and remote monitoring, in addition to temperature control for ambient and chilled environments. Due to the reliable and robust nature of the doors, Union Industries also offers a Lifetime Warranty scheme, which means the doors are kept fully maintained for 25 years.
