Expansion plans

EcolightingUK has continued to grow its business and made key appointments, including the promotion of Steve Gardner to managing director.

This will allow former MD Martin Needham to take the role of chairman and to focus his efforts on strategic partnerships with key suppliers and trade relations.

To complement the existing team, the company has recruited Tony Smith as its new area sales manager covering the south and Michael Woodfield as project manager.  Steve Jones and Phil Jenner, both long standing team members, have moved forward in their careers to estimation manager and service manager respectively.

Steve Gardner says: “Last year we won some significant projects around the country allowing us to continue to invest in our people and our products.”

Steve is looking to increase its growth by 25% over the next three years. This will be achieved by aligning and developing further the company’s three core areas of business: lighting, mechanical and electrical services. The company group has the separate divisions of Ecolighting, Ecomech and Ecolectrical to service these markets.

Steve comments further, “We aim to share our brand competencies across our customer base and to consolidate our market position with further lighting innovations.”

Ecolighting UK has developed its business model to incorporate its own software application which assists in the quotation management process and illustrates the energy saving and carbon footprint impact for its customers.  This, with the end to end service of Ecolighting UK incorporating lighting design, own branded designed and manufactured luminaires and full installation and maintenance service, makes it a true market leader in lighting solutions for warehouse, distribution and manufacturing businesses.  To support this, the company is registered as a Carbon Trust Accredited Supplier, assessed to BSEN ISO 9001:2015 and are members of The Lighting Industry Association.

Ecolighting UK has now successfully completed over 700 lighting installations, having had the pleasure to serve many of the well known names in retail and industry such as Bibby, AF Blakemore, Kuehne + Nagel, Man Bus and Truck, Carlsberg, Culina, and Cadbury to name a few.
