Tier 5 compliant engines

The new KBG+ series of Baoli forklifts with capacities from 1.5 to 5t are equipped with ‘EU5’ compliant LPG engines.

Baoli says the trucks comply with the restrictive pollution standards, while maintaining a combination of the virtues of German productivity and the competitive prices of Far Eastern products. Baoli will launch the trucks to market this year.

The company says: “These are the strengths of the new forklift trucks of the KBG+ series, with capacities from 1.5 to 5t and equipped with EU5 Compliant LPG engines. These products represent the real alternative to diesel-powered ones for work environments where it is not possible to switch to electric traction. KBG trucks with capacity from 1.5 t to 2.0t are equipped with LPG Deutz G2.2 engines, while for the 2.5 to 3.5t range Baoli has opted for Doosan P24 engines.”

On the other hand, P34 engines – also branded Doosan – will also be installed on the trucks of the 4.0 to 5.0 t range. Truck safety and ergonomics is enhanced by a large cabin that reduces vibrations from the ground as well as ensuring maximum visibility. Great attention was also paid to the manoeuvrability of the truck, which is made possible by the use of a small diameter steering wheel.

Together with these engines Baoli is also launching a new and pump with an even better lifting performance on these series with the purpose of optimising its hydraulic functions, along with an improved driving precision and sensitivity thanks to a new gearbox. Other important driving aids are the foot-operated parking brake, the electronic travel direction selector, the easily accessible hydraulic levers and the dashboard equipped with multifunction display. The careful attention to all construction and design aspects is shown by the particular shape of the counterweight, which increases safety by improving the visual impact when driving in reverse, as well as the ascent handle and the rear handle equipped with a horn activation button to ensure comfortable manoeuvrability while driving in reverse. Finally, the compartment of the KB+ engine is made of steel in order to guarantee greater robustness and functionality in all operating conditions, as well as ensuring utmost simplicity of all assistance and maintenance operations thanks to its practical opening up to more than 90 degrees.
