IBCS the UK’s leading independent specialist battery and charger company has been exceptionally busy during the COVID-19 lockdown. Adapting its operations to support key customers with essential goods and service portfolios, while doing everything possible to keep its staff and customers safe from COVID-19 infection.

Talking about the new initiatives, Paul Hewson, managing director of IBCS said: “Being a preferred supplier to key essential industries has meant a change in working practices both internally, and at our customer’s premises. This has included operational PPE, social distancing, risk assessment and regular communication with both employees and customers.

“Our strategically placed team of service engineers means that we can respond quickly to individual operational requirements. Our customer’s benefit from a single nationwide source for batteries, chargers, ancillary equipment, installation, maintenance and repair. This minimises down time, reduces customer costs, and, is further enhanced, by our electronic service software, which ensures real time information for all service work.

“Importantly, because IBCS is independent, our customers have access to the very best products available, rather than being limited to the offering from a single manufacturer. Our battery and charger rental options offer further flexibility, and are being increasingly utilised by our growing customer base.”

The battery range provided by IBCS covers both DIN and BS cells. Technologies include, standard lead acid, low maintenance, gel, CSM and lithium format batteries, with comprehensive warranty agreements. In addition to this a choice of high quality, industry leading chargers from Fronius, and SPE.

Paul added: “As a leader in the field with over 35 years’ experience we genuinely understand the industries we serve, our highly skilled team of engineers and back-up staff are experts in delivering not only high quality products and service, but also a wealth of technical advice and field support despite the difficult and unusual times we find ourselves in.”
