Versatile access equipment
ZARGES UK HAS released a new PAXTower with folding base. It is equipped with a raft of timesaving and safety-enhancing features and is fully compliant with the latest safety regulations.
Designed in accordance with the latest EN1004 specification, the base pack is built to be quickly assembled. To get started users fold out the structure until it clicks into place. When building the tower to higher levels, a slot-in spigot with interlock clips prevents tilting when connecting the end frames, enabling a smooth build. Once constructed, components stay securely and firmly in place and can be released using simple mechanisms.
WernerCo is the parent company of Zarges UK.
Its head of product EMEA Joost Knapen says: “At the outset of designing the new PAXTower, we wanted to fulfil our commitment to continually making our products safer and easier to use. At the same time, we wanted to make sure our latest products adhered to the latest British and European standards.
“We believe we’ve met and exceeded our goals; not only is the PAXTower fully compliant with existing standards, we’ve included a litany of new and useful features with the of aim increasing safety, all while letting users spend more time doing their job and less time setting up equipment. And we’ve achieved this all in a package that represents exceptional value for money.”
The PAXTower is available in two build methods: Through the Trapdoor (3T) and Advanced Guardrail (AGR), with the option to build up to a platform height of 5.6m to 7.65m. Its 1.80 by 0.72m platform can withstand loads of up to 208 kilograms.
The AGR PAXTowers contain fewer components to allow for a quick build, while the specially designed guardrail features foldable arms to make the component compact for easy storage and transportation.
The 3T braced version provides 360° protection at all times and ensures complete stability. Colour coded claws on the tower’s braces make identifying the correct brace simple, helping to ensure a safe and correct build.
