Doing more with less
It was great to catch up with Infios at LogiMAT, the rebranded Körber Supply Chain Software.

WHILE THERE was important corporate news on the agenda, Infios was focused squarely on the needs of users.
Infios head of mobile robotics EMEA Lennart Held told Logistics Matters: “For end users, it is about doing more with less. Working with AMRs, it is a lot about having the correct data about what goes where and when. So, it makes sense to integrate robotics within software.
“We think AI will help SMEs implement robotics, which was difficult before because an SME’s processes can be all over the place, and often not conducive to robotics. For example, even if you are handling slightly different loads and navigating different paths, it can throw robots off.
“The AI can deal with this, adding flexibility. AI is removing the hygiene factors in robotics. We think this will be a game changer and it is very close to being ready.”
Körber Supply Chain Software rebranded as Infios following the acquisition of MercuryGate, a provider of transport management systems (TMS).
