Fit-to-size automated packaging
CONVEYOR SYSTEMS Limited (CSL) has added state-of-the-art automated packaging solutions – the CVP Impack and CVP Everest systems – to its latest product offering, working in partnership with Sparck Technologies.

The CVP Impack solution delivers fit-to-size automated packing technology. It measures, constructs, tapes, weighs and labels each hard or soft single- or multi-item order in one seamless process. A broad range of products can be packaged from a book to a vacuum cleaner. It makes fulfilment faster, more reliable and more efficient.
By producing a fit-to-size box for each product order the inline auto-packer can save up to 20% on cardboard and reduce box volume by up to 50%. The machine creates fitted parcels that minimise or eliminate void filling and product damage. And of course, this significantly cuts the cost per unit for packaging and shipping.
The technology creates environmentally packaged items every 7 seconds and up to 500 boxes per hour. It is said to be the only solution on the market that will auto-pack hard or soft goods without additional boxes, operators or equipment. On average the CVP Impack in-line auto-packer can replace up to 15 manual packing stations. It ensures consistent throughput, which brings significant reductions in labour costs.

Surveys such as those in McKinsey’s sustainability in packaging report, have consistently shown that customers have more positive feelings about companies and brands that are consciously reducing their use of excessive packaging.
With sustainability being an increasing consumer concern the CVP Impack addresses these concerns by creating the smallest parcel possible and considerably reducing shipping volumes.
The market-leading technology can also improve the customer experience by providing notifications via camera live streams. It can show customers’ products being packaged for complete order visibility, resulting in fewer customer service calls.
