Rugged atex-certified tablet
Designer and manufacturer of rugged computing technology, Getac, is launching the what is said to be world’s first rugged Android 4.1 tablet with explosive protection.
The 7” Getac Z710 now comes with ATEX (Explosive Atmosphere) Zone 2/22 certification, meaning it can be used in hazardous and explosive environments.
The rugged tablet is suitable for field workers in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and oil and gas industries, where ATEX compliance is often mandatory when carrying out inspection and maintenance work.
Operating on Android, the Z710-Ex also offers high-security features.
