Contract extension secures jobs
A total of 25 jobs have been secured for a minimum 12 months at supply chain solutions provider Wincanton’s Bicester facility.
The announcement comes following the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) decision to award a contract extension to General Dynamics, for whom Wincanton provides supply chain solutions and through-life support.
For six years, Wincanton’s Bicester facility has provided logistics services to General Dynamics in support of its MoD “Long Term Support Solutions” (LTSS) contract, including inventory management and receiving, storing and dispatching state of the art “Bowman” military communications equipment for use by UK forces both home and abroad.
