Acquisition will power MetaPack’s international parcel expansion plans

Delivery firm MetaPack has acquired German shipping solutions provider XLogics in a bid to strengthens its service offering throughout Europe.

The acquisition of group, which has companies in Germany and Poland, means that the MetaPack Group now has direct integrations with over 200 carrier networks across the EU and Rest of World.

Critically, the acquisition strengthens MetaPack’s ability to support the international growth of retailers based in the UK, Continental Europe and the US as they continue to target consumers outside of their home markets.

The combined group can now offer its customers access to more than 3000 carrier services worldwide. Together, the group’s systems will power the allocation, delivery and tracking of over 350 million parcels this year to consumers across the world, with the capacity to deliver to any global location, on behalf of a retail customer base of almost 20,000 shipping from more than 44 countries. MetaPack, headquartered in London, opened an office in Hamburg and sees the acquisition of XLogics as a continuation of this international expansion.

While account management and customer support operations will continue as before, MetaPack and XLogics will collaborate extensively on joint technology projects and product integration, in order to bring the benefit of their continued operations and technology expertise to bear for customers.
