Halfords tasks 3PL with ‘pre-retail’ role
The cycling and motor products retailer has has appointed Core Management Logistics (CML).
CML is overseeing the pre-retail and distribution services that will help Halfords roll-out new products for purchase in store and online.
CML is expected to handle around 10,000 units per week through its 270,000 sq ft warehouse at Magna Park and will work in partnership with Halfords Coventry NDC.
Receiving cycling accessories and clothing from Halfords suppliers, the logistics firm will prepare products for sale before they are delivered to Halfords 460 stores nationwide.
CML takes care of hanging, tagging, labelling and bagging goods before delivering to Halfords Coventry NDC.
Chosen above other providers for its extensive apparel experience, adaptable supply chain services and its close proximity to Coventry, CML will now be instrumental in Halfords ambitious in store and online growth plans.
