AI detects driver fatigue
02 May 2023
ADDSECURE HAS launched an AI-powered video telematics solution that detects driver fatigue.

The solution monitors driver behaviour and alerts them in real-time to take a break to prevent accidents caused by drowsy driving. The system is designed to be easy to install and use and offers other features such as detecting distracted driving and harsh braking.
The system includes a forward facing camera for external recording, a second camera that is used to detect driver fatigue or distraction and a R-Watch unit, which displays and triggers alerts in the cabin.
The solution uses algorithms in its Driver Monitoring System and Advanced Driver Assistance System technology to analyse driver data and detect patterns of fatigue, such as yawning, nodding, and head drooping.
The system also includes a cloud-based platform that allows fleet operators to monitor driver behaviour and receive alerts in real-time.
