Amazon to open warehouse in Cumbria
05 February 2020
Amazon will open the delivery station on Woodlands Industrial Storage Estate in Longtown, a small town north of Carlisle.
The location is expected to create around 120 jobs, with 20 of them permanent.
Parcels will be shipped to the site and then loaded onto vehicles and delivered to customers. Amazon says it will work with eight independent delivery companies who will transport parcels on behalf of them.
The facility will open in the spring.
