Automated pallet building from containers

QIMAROX HAS introduced a new palletiser developed for a logistics environment where palletising goods from containers happens often.

This palletiser is able to automatically stack a very wide range of box sizes on a pallet. Thanks to its pattern generator, the Qimarox Highrunner HR9 can also switch between different stacking patterns fast. With this innovation, importers of various products are able to largely automate the unloading of containers, resulting in improved ergonomics and savings on time and personnel costs.

The unloading of 'loose loaded' containers is physically demanding, time-consuming and unattractive work. The boxes must be manually removed from the containers one by one and stacked on pallets. This leads to physical complaints among staff and damage to goods if boxes are stacked carelessly or dropped. As it becomes increasingly difficult to find personnel and pressure increases from the supply chain to empty containers faster, more and more companies are looking for solutions to automate the process.

The smart pattern generator automatically generates multiple stacking patterns based on the dimensions of a box. All the operator has to do is select the desired stacking pattern. This function can also be automated.

The Qimarox Highrunner HR9 is equipped with a 3D product scanner, which automatically captures the contours and dimensions of the specific product or box. This data then forms the input for the pattern generator, which calculates multiple stacking patterns based on it. The intuitively designed control panel visualises the stacking patterns and indicates the preferred stacking pattern. The operator's choice is recorded in memory, so that the correct stacking pattern can be automatically selected the next time.
