Changing market dynamics drives soaring growth
25 October 2021
LOGISTICS CONSULTANT Scala has reported a record-breaking year for turnover.
This comes as the business continues to adapt to changing market conditions, such as the continued rise of automation, increased mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activity and environmental pressures.
In its 20th year of operation, company turnover at Scala has increased by 32% above the previous highest level, due to the company’s continued expansion both domestically and internationally.
Staff headcount has also increased by 29% after a number of senior hires.
SCALA’s continued growth over the past year has been attributed to a number of factors. First, the challenges of the past 18 months have incentivised companies to review their supply chain strategies and optimise their logistics networks to build resilience and flexibility.
The acceleration in companies looking to AI, robotics and automation, to assist with the changing logistics landscape, has also been a contributing factor. In addition, SCALA’s supply chain due diligence service has seen an increase in demand due to an overall increase in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activity.
Finally, and arguably most importantly, SCALA has launched a number of initiatives over the past year designed to place environmental sustainability at front of mind for both the business and its international client base.
