Clipper and Wilko open South Wales warehouse
25 October 2021
CLIPPER LOGISTICS has opened the warehouse in Magor, South Wales, in partnership with home and garden retailer, wilko.

The new development, housed within wilko’s existing Magor facility, will support the retailer’s continued business growth and strategic plans.
Having worked with wilko for over 10 years, the partnership sees Clipper Logistics expanding its proposition for the retailer, having already carried out improvements at wilko’s Ollerton warehouse in order to streamline processes and efficiently utilise the automation system to its full potential, allowing wilko to maximise output in its e-fulfilment business.
The opening of Clipper’s second operation for wilko creates a proposition to manage over-size items.
The facility was up and running within four months.
Wilko supply chain director Mark Hale, said: “Our strategy to grow our omnichannel proposition for our customers needed additional capacity as soon as possible, and this solution has provided just that. We’ve over 10 years’ history of working well with Clipper and this time was no exception. Clipper really rose to the challenge and worked tirelessly, in tandem with our team members, to deliver this project on time, on budget and to specification.”
Clipper CEO Tony Mannix, added: “We are delighted to be able to deliver this new warehouse for wilko in order to support the brand’s growth strategy. Having collaborated with wilko for a decade, it’s great to be able to embark on new challenges together, providing innovative solutions to drive value for the business.”
