Food ingredient supplier secures new warehouse
13 December 2023
Food ingredients supplier JPL Flavours has secured new warehouse space in the Wirral – doubling the size of its operation.
By Liza Helps, Property Editor Logistics Matters
THE NESTON-based manufacturer and distributor purchased a vacant 41,108 ft2 property on Bassendale Road for £3.5 million and commenced a £2.5m fit-out.
This new facility, double the size of the current site in Neston, will feature a Customer Innovations Suite, cutting-edge virtual reality and alternate reality suites, substantially increasing the company’s research and development capabilities.
The property was initially put out to lease but due to the amount of money that needed to be invested JPL secured its acquisition. The base is expected to be operational by the end of 2024 and will see the workforce grow to 40.
Since its inception in 2014 by founder Jake Lavelle, JPL Flavours has achieved remarkable growth, reaching an impressive £8.45 million in revenue in 2022, on-target for £10+ million for 2023.
