Fuel consumption reduced
26 January 2024
BUILDING MATERIALS firm EPD Insulation Group is improving safety and fuel efficiency with a fleet of brand-new Mitsubishi GRENDiA ES LPG forklifts for its newest site in Huntingdon.
The GRENDiA trucks are fitted with electronic speed control. This includes soft power mode which stops the wheels from spinning, reduces tyre wear, and saves money on maintenance.
Wayne Hammond of the local Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks distributor explains: “It reduces fuel consumption by up to 19%, which is huge considering the ongoing cost of energy right now. This small addition to the forklifts has been a massive benefit to EPD.”
Chris Pratt, transport manager at EPD adds: “We have been really impressed by the GRENDiA forklifts. The trucks have good specifications which means better safety for our operators. We have had great support from Wayne and his team. We like the trucks, and we love the service. We can’t ask for much more.”
