Healthcare products provider awards logistics contract
04 February 2021
Netherlands-based Getinge has expanded its partnership with XPO Logistics.
Under the new contract provisions, XPO will provide warehousing and transport services for Getinge’s Infection Control business unit, with distribution from the Netherlands across Europe, and the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions.
XPO is already providing end-to-end supply chain solutions for eight other Getinge business units from XPO’s distribution hub in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands. Services for the Infection Control unit, which will move to Eindhoven, include the management of ambient and temperature-controlled goods, spare parts and detergents for surgical equipment in EMEA medical facilities.
Getinge Logistics senior director logistics EMEA Tom Hawkins said: “Our relationship with XPO is extremely productive, due in large part to their commitment to innovation. XPO’s team works closely with us to develop solutions that improve the efficiency of our supply chains at all levels. We look forward to our expanded collaboration.”
