Huge warehouse for Amazon within M25
26 August 2021
BERICOTE HAS completed works on its 2.3 million sq ft Amazon unit at the former Littlebrook Power Station in Dartford.

Works commenced on site in June 2020 with enabling works following the demolition phase, which included dealing with a 210 metre chimney (second largest in the UK) and many complex underground structures.
Practical completion has been achieved with the keys now handed over to Amazon. Amazon will continue with ramp-up works in the facility and start to deliver to customers.
When the building is operational, Amazon workers will pick, pack, and ship customer orders such as books, toys and housewares and many will work alongside robots, learning new skills and helping create a more efficient process to meet customer demand.
The building boasts an impressive PV installation on the roof (largest in the UK) which will provide the building with green electricity throughout its life, as well as a BREEAM Excellent rating and EPC A rating.
