Linde launches Safety Passport programme

According to the Health and Safety Executive an estimated 34,000 workers who sustained an injury at work were within the transportation and storage industry. This is significantly higher than for workers across other industries.

The Safety Passport is an important investment from Linde that is compulsory for all Linde engineers and is designed to be as non-disruptive as possible, with flexible working modules that staff can complete around their working week. 

The training consists of 12 modules, each lasting 20 minutes which are completed over three years. Learning is all done online, meaning staff can complete in bite-sized chunks, rather than having to take several days at time to attend an intensive course. 

The programme was developed in partnership with software company Safety Media, and has been verified by Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Chris Weston, content manager at Safety Media said: “When Linde approached us for the Safety Passport, they highlighted the importance of making a programme that was bespoke and aimed at their end user.

“We worked together to make the programme look and feel like a product of their own which consists of 12 modules allowing engineers to jump in and out when necessary.

“For Linde, it’s important their engineers are trained with a high level of safety knowledge, particularly when working in dangerous high-risk environments, but in doing so are not disrupting their work or productivity. 

“Safety is a valuable asset for Linde and the creation of the Safety Passport reflects how Linde go above and beyond for their engineers. We are pleased to have worked together with them to create a high-quality bespoke training programme.”
