THE APPLICATION is for the delivery of a further 425,00 ft2 industrial and logistics space on the scheme for both Design and Build opportunities and speculative phases.

Knight Frank planning partner Nick Diment, who advised HBD on the application said: “After extensive collaboration with dedicated Members and Officers of Luton Borough Council, we are delighted to have achieved outline planning permission for the remainder of Butterfield Business Park.

“Securing a flexible planning consent incorporating B8 uses is essential in meeting the changing economic and occupier demand. It is therefore encouraging that Luton Borough Council recognised the wider benefits of the scheme and in doing so, delivering on its own aspirations for economic growth across the Borough.”

HBD was appointed to undertake the transformation of Butterfield Business Park, working on behalf a collection of landowners including the Crown Estate and Luton Borough Council in 2015. HBD has delivered more than 325,000 ft2 so far across the site, with occupiers including Eden Farm and Shoal Group.

Knight Frank managed the planning process and consultation on behalf of HBD. The agents for Butterfield Business Park are Cushman & Wakefield, Adroit and LSH.
