New Leicestershire logistics park planned
Boundary Real Estate has secured outline planning consent for a 656,620 ft2 logistics scheme for Phase 2 of Watermead Business Park in Leicestershire.

TO BE BUILT on a 76.77 acre site the scheme will consist of five units ranging from 23,000 ft2 to 354,790 ft2 providing up to 918 permanent and 447 temporary jobs.
The site, part of the Raynsway portfolio, was acquired by Boundary in 2022 in an off market deal.
The new development will target a BREEAM Excellent and EPC A rating. A full Life Cycle Assessment with be undertaken, ensuring that the design, construction, and operation of the buildings meet the highest environmental standards.
EV Charging points will be installed, along with electric bikes. As part of the schemes’ Travel Plan, further measures and incentives will be put in place to encourage sustainable travel modes to the site.
