Planning win for Derby logistics scheme

Developer and investor Harworth Group has secured a outline planning consent for a 1.5 million ft2 from and up to 300 new homes at its Cinderhill development in Derbyshire.

THE FORMER open cast coal mine and iron foundry which will have an employment area totalling 74-acres, will be fully remediated and made ‘oven ready’ with site servicing and installation of high-quality infrastructure to facilitate the construction of the new Grade A commercial units.
All of the units will be built a to achieve EPC A Rated and BREEAM Very Good or Excellent rating. They are also produced as ‘Being Net Zero Carbon in Operation Ready’.
The regeneration of this site once complete is expected to create over 1,000 new jobs.
