Quantum-powered cargo
27 October 2023
UNISYS LOGISTICS Optimisation is a quantum-powered solution designed to help organisations solve complex logistics optimisation challenges in seconds.

The solution uses pre-trained models to generate for logistics companies, such as air cargo carriers, seeking plans for packing, storing and routing shipments across multiple vehicles.
Malaysia Aviation Group’s cargo arm is piloting the solution. This includes providing flight planners with a graphic cargo plan tailored to maximise cargo capacity, profitability and ability to manage priority shipments.
Unisys Logistics Optimisation does not require any additional data training to begin deployment, and it does not upend existing IT infrastructure or operations.
For example, the solution can predict and prescribe locations and packaging requirements on inventory, as well as amounts of inventory and freight sensitivity, in a bid to reduce packing and build times.
