22 August 2023

THE FACILITY will replace the company’s existing delivery office at Creek Street.
The comprehensive refurbishment of the two units includes the provision of new cladding and the installation of photovoltaic panels, a green wall and electric vehicle charging points linking in with Royal Mail’s plans to reduce carbon emissions and reach net zero by 2040.
Royal Mail already occupies several units on SEGRO estates including Axis Park, between the M4 and Heathrow Airport, Premier Park in Park Royal and SEGRO Park Tottenham.
Elsewhere Royal Mail is awaiting the delivery of am 18,000 ft2 state-of-the-art delivery sorting office in Nuneaton on a 2-acre brownfield site in Bermuda Park.
The development by Deeley will build to BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standard, and EPC A rating. Completion of the development is expected in early 2024. Royal Mail has taken a 20 year lease.
Earlier this month Logistics Matters reported on the issues arising from the company’s plans to provide a state-of-the-art sorting office in Brighton.
