THE FORMER HQ and distribution centre has been sold to Marchmont Investment Management and French private equity firm BauMont Real Estate Capital who intend to refurbish the property prior to reletting. The acquisition of the property represents BauMont’s first industrial deal in the UK.

The detached property on a 3.34 acre estate comprises a 61,712 ft2 warehouse with 12,225 ft2 of office space which has a current EPC C rating. It has 8 loading docks, 84 carparking spaces and eaves heights of 7.6-10m.

STIHL GB Finance Director Nick Burroughs, said, “Our recent move to a new purpose-built 170,000 sq ft HQ facility has been driven by long-term and ongoing growth of the business in the UK, meaning the Stanhope Road property was no longer required.”

Curchod & Co and JLL advised Stihl GB on the sale of the property while Marchmont IM was advised by Hurst Warne.
