Textile firm snaps up shed

Household textile supplier Cleland McIver has snapped up a distribution warehouse in Kingsway Business Park, Rochdale.

THE COMPANY has secured Greater Manchester Pension Fund’s speculatively built Imperial165 building totalling 165,696 ft2 on its three unit scheme located at Junction 21 of the M62 motorway.

Imperial 165 has 12m eaves, 151,175 ft2 of warehouse space and 14,521 ft2 of two storey offices. It has 14 dock and three level access doors and a 50m yard.

Of the three units built, only one now remains available to let as Imperial 76 totalling 76,418 ft2 was let to international audio nd visual tech company Solotech recently. Imperial 47 consists of 42,931 ft2 of warehouse space with 4,427 ft2 of offices. It has three docka ndd two lelve access doors and a 45m yard.

Joint letting agents were JLL and Avison Young and CBRE.

JLL industrial and logistics associate Joe Bostock, said: “These lettings have achieved new record rents for Kingsway and are a testament to the quality product that GMPF has delivered, having had strong interest in both these units and the remaining unit which comprises 47,358 ft2.”

APAM is advising the landlord GMPF.
