STROUD COUNCIL approved the plans last week for a hybrid application for two warehouses of 163,500 ft2 and 241,000 ft2 as well as granting outline consent for a further 700,000 ft2 – effectively creating a 1.1 million ft2 scheme close to Junction 12 of the M5 motorway
It will be net zero carbon in construction and will sit close to the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility on Bath Road.
The properties will be built to a minimum BREEAM Very Good and an EPC A rating. Unit 1 totalling 163,500 ft2 has 155,495 ft2 of warehouse space and 8,000 ft2 of two storey offices with 17.75m eaves, Unit 2 totalling 241,000 ft2 comprises 228,5000 ft2 of warehouse space with 12,500 ft2 of two storey offices and an 18.5m eaves height.
