Validity of Safe Loading Passes extended
27 March 2020
The Safe Loading Pass Scheme (SLPS) Management Group is providing extensions on Safe Loading Passes soon to expire, in line with government direction on COVID-19.
The SLPS is administered by FTA, the business group representing the logistics sector. All vehicle Safe Loading Passes, which expire between 25th March 2020-25th June 2020, will now remain valid until 25th July 2020. Hauliers will have until this date to carry out a SLPS inspection on vehicles whose Passes were extended during this period. Of course, vehicles must be correctly maintained, kept safe to load at terminals and operate within the terms of operators’ licence conditions.
