IN ONE of the biggest deals of the year, Wincanton, has taken a 15 year lease on developer Knight Property Group's 126,960 ft2 warehouse at Belgrave Logistics Park in Belshill.
According to Ryden managing partner Alan Gilkison, who advised on the transaction: "This is the largest letting of a speculative new build since 2018 for the Greater Glasgow market."
This deal follows the successful launch of Wincanton’s 153,000 ft2 Scottish Gateway hub in Motherwell just last April. The new unit will cater to the demands of the 3PL’s expanding client base in Scotland.
Belgrave Logistics Park, a £55m brand new speculative development by Knight Property boasts a total area of 261,193 ft2 across five buildings.
Wincanton’s unit has a BREEAM Excellent and EPC A+ rating. It features 12m eaves, 16 dock and four level access doors, with 2,870 ft2 of office space, 63 car parking spaces, and a 55m deep yard.
Ryden and JLL are agents for Knight Property Group, while Savills represented Wincanton.
The project architect was SPACE Solutions, the engineer was Fairhurst, QS/ CA was Axiom, Wallace Whittle were M&E, with the main contractor Clark Contracts.
